Controller
Voyagante is developed and operated by Tomoaki Ando, an independent developer based in Japan. This policy applies to the Voyagante app and voyagante.com.
Account data
To create and maintain an account, we process your UID, email address, display name and, when provided by your sign-in provider, profile photo. Authentication uses Firebase Authentication and may use email and password, Google, or Apple.
Data stored in Firebase
Cloud Firestore stores the account profile, login and activation dates, active device identifier, and deletion requests. Purchase records contain the destination, status, price, platform, dates, store identifiers, and technical verification data. We do not store full card numbers or banking details. Location data is not stored in Firebase.
Location
The app uses precise location while in use to show your position and trigger audio guides near points of interest. Location is processed on the device, is not stored in Firebase, and is not used for advertising. Voyagante does not request background location on Android.
Data stored locally
Downloaded destinations, points of interest and images, favorites, visited places, language and voice settings, map position, and local purchase status are stored on the device. This data remains only on the device and is not synchronized with Voyagante servers unless this policy expressly states otherwise. It is removed when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to operating-system behavior.
Purposes
We use data to authenticate accounts, limit an account to one active device, deliver and restore purchases, download content, operate the audio guide, protect the service, and handle support and deletion requests.
Service providers
Google Firebase hosts authentication and cloud data; Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple process the chosen login; Google Play and Apple process purchases; OpenStreetMap provides the cartography used by the app; Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Services host the website, distribute content, protect the site, and manage traffic; Google Analytics 4 analyzes website use through cookies and similar technologies to understand traffic and improve the website. We do not sell personal or location data.
Retention
Account and purchase data is retained while the account is active. Following a valid request, we normally delete or anonymize the account and associated data within 30 days. A technical or security incident or a legal obligation may extend that period; if so, we will inform the user. Minimum transaction records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Local data remains until the user removes it.
Deletion and rights
Request deletion in the app or through the “Delete account” page. Deletion covers Firebase Authentication and associated Firestore data, including internal purchase records. Account deletion may prevent restoration of previously purchased digital content and does not automatically cancel store-managed subscriptions. You may also request access, correction, or further information by contacting us.
Security and children
We use reasonable security safeguards, but no system is infallible. Information is transmitted over encrypted connections when communicating with supported services. Voyagante is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
